It’s estimated that one in ten people over 65 are at risk of malnutrition but, in most cases, malnutrition and dehydration are largely preventable.

Our Community Meal service is available 365 days a year and has been a vital lifeline to many older people.

The service provides a freshly prepared two course meal at lunchtime, hot and ready to eat, and our staff and volunteers provide a welfare check. The team get to know our clients and their regular visits can brighten their day.

Our hot lunch comes with a home cooked dessert and cost £9.00. An optional tea time pack can be added for an extra £5.50*.

*Please note, the tea time pack currently cannot be ordered without the hot lunch.

Are the meals homemade?

Yes! Each and every meal is homemade in our kitchens by our team of chefs using local produce.

Do you offer lunch and dinner?

Our Community Meals are delivered at lunchtime. If you would like an evening meal as well, then a tea time pack can also be delivered during the lunch round.

Do I have to have deliveries 7 days a week?

Help at home is designed to help older people remain independent in their own homes by assisting with day-to-day living tasks that might have become more difficult.

What we offer:

• Light Housework
• Laundry
• Ironing
• Changing bedding
• Shopping
• Dealing with correspondence
• Meal preparation

We tailor the service to your preferences and needs. We visit you at home in the first instance, to discuss your requirements and agree with you the tasks you would like carried out. Our Co-ordinator will then match you to a suitable Independent Living Assistant who will always carry identification, visit at pre-arranged times and carry out the tasks we have agreed with you.

*Please note that where possible we will always try and send the same person, however we may need, at times, to send someone else.

Services we do not cover:

We do not offer personal care services, prompting or taking of medication or working at heights. However, if your needs are beyond what we can provide, we will be able to assist you in finding the right support through our Information and Advice service or direct you to the most appropriate support.

Are your staff DBS checked?

All our staff are rigorously vetted including checks via the Disclosure and Barring Service and the Protection of Vulnerable Adults Register. They all receive comprehensive training and are regularly reviewed and monitored to ensure a consistently high quality of service.

How do I pay for my services?

You will be sent an invoice at the beginning of the month for the service you were provided with in the previous month. You can either make payment by card by calling us on 01303 269602 or by paying on line via BACS. Please note, we no longer accept payment by cash or cheque.
